Asia Engagement Consortium
Introduction
To advance the New Southbound Policy (NSP) and strengthen Taiwan's regional strategy in Asia, the Asia Engagement Consortium (AEC) was established by the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF) as an interdisciplinary alliance of think tanks and NGOs. Its primary objective is to create synergy among leading think tanks in Taiwan and across Asia, fostering deeper collaboration and mutual understanding in the region.
Goals of AEC
- Share overseas connections and construct cooperation networks in Asia;
- Promote Yushan Forum and develop related TAEF programs and symposiums;
- Strengthen Taiwan's engagement with local Southeast Asian and South Asian organizations;
- Facilitate Taiwan's diverse partnerships with Asia.
