Environmental Movements and Politics of the Asian Anthropocene

Dr. Hsing-Huang Michael Hsiao, TAEF Chairman, has recently co-edited the book -“Environmental Movements and Politics of the Asian Anthropocene”, with Paul Jobin, Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Sociology, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and Ming-sho Ho, Professor in the Department of Sociology, National Taiwan University, and Director of the Research Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan.  

This recent publication addresses mutual impacts between environmental movements and politics in Asia with a collection of cases regarding environmental challenges confronted in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. The book provides thus a review of regional  environmental crisis from diverse perspectives.
