Taipei, Taiwan
About
The Southeast Asia-South Asia-Taiwan (SEASAT) Youth Camp is an annual flagship event organized by the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF) since its establishment in 2018. Running from July 14 to July 17, 2025, the goal of this year’s SEASAT Youth Camp is to enrich the understanding of 50 young and emerging leaders, aged 18 to 29, of their Southeast Asian, South Asian, and Taiwanese neighbors with the hopes of training the young emerging leaders on how to navigate challenges in geopolitics, human rights, workforce dynamics, and international cooperation, this program aims to equip youth with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to navigate and shape a rapidly changing global landscape through a human-centered design process called design think. In this 4-day camp, participants will be exposed to contemporary issues affecting youth in the region, site visits, seminars, workshops, and the opportunity to converse with established leaders in Taiwan and abroad. The camp is specifically designed to help its participants grow as leaders who "think and do" for an inclusive and resilient future through design thinking training and exposure to the real world scenarios of the current geopolitical landscape.
Theme
Emerging Voices of the Youth: Leading the Way in a Dynamic Global Landscape
The world that we live in today proactively changes due to the changing global dynamic landscape, risks, opportunities and technological advancements. The youth in this world are consistently facing rising and important issues including the rise of technological advancements, the changing global order, and the rising challenges of the workforce. TAEF believes that collaboration between the private, public, and the civil sector can shape the world into a better region, especially when we can bring the young leaders to the decision making table. On this note, the theme of the 2025 SEASAT Youth Camp is “Emerging Voices of the Youth: Leading the Way in a Dynamic Global Landscape” which aims to empower youth across the world to become leaders who can catalyze change and inspire others to follow suit.
